An interesting ball called Skmish :)
Don't ask me why it's called by that name but apparently it's both a toy for the young and old! Mwahahahaha! Thanks to aunty Hui Ting! :)
G: used it as a teether, a deshaper, an odd-shape toy, distractor
Mommy: mostly a destress tool

Sayings from a wise Prophet
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of the desire for Life itself.
They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies, but not their souls; for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

His first tooth!
Finally we get to see that little white thingy poking out of his gums!
Marked this date - 02 July 2010 Friday!
Poor baby had been feeling cranky and having hot flushes due to the teething and on top of that, he was diagnosed with viral fever that doubled up his crankiness...
The other white "friendly" neighbour beside it is also popping up soon...
Well, I seriously wanted to show you a shot of that white thingy but I had to wait for G to wail and there will be my chance....
Just keep a lookout!

Tummy Time!
Now that Garath acquired the ability to flip, he has been showing off this skillset ever since...
He even does it in his sleep.. and when you are sleeping beside him, he is everywhere...
Some pics of him having tummy time fun!

Our Little Buddha
After 4 months, we finally decide to shave off Garath's sparsely populated hair. I wanted to have some form of keepsake of the baby hair and hence, we contacted Hua Xia Tai Mao Bi and have the lady come and shave Garath's hair and made into a chinese caligraphy brush framed up with his name, our names, details carved on it. Once it is ready, will post on my blog. =)
And now, my clean shaven boy looks like a Little Buddha. =)

A walk in the park
20 May 2010: Last year this time, Baby Garath was just some tiny mass of tissues in mommy's tummy. C brought me to Botanical Gardens for a yummy sumptous breakfast treat at Le Amis. And one year later, baby Garath was with mommy back at the park. Just want to commemorate the same day one year later. Guess I will do it every year. Daddy was outstationed but we had the company of Grandma and two guardian angels - Lulu Popo and Annie Popo.
My Little Man @ Fab 4 months
Yes I know, this is a long awaited post from me ever since my last post on Mother's Day. =)
I had started work and schedule had been really tight. It is basically work, Garath, work, Garath and for once, I really look and always look forward to the weekend.
Garath had been doing really well in school and at home. You can call him a big boy now as compared to a few months ago. This little man of mine had started teething pains ( his favourite toy now is a blue plastic teether in a shape of a palm showing 'hi-5'), he prefers sitting up versis lying front facing down and loves to grab the sides of the bathing tub. Surprisingly, he loves to spend longer time in the bath and having fun with water using his legs to kick and hands to splatter.
He is also more responsive to his surroundings and loves people to sing songs to him. My little man is also getting more inquisitive (or maybe I should say "kay-poh"/ busybody) and new things never fails to amuse him. So much for documentation, the pictures says a thousand words...

Everyday is a different learning experience for us both.
Baby - you are the best gift that Mommy can have in this world! Thank you for loving mommy!
And to my wonderful mommy - now that I am a mommy myself, I now REALISED all that you have done for your two children and I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!! =)
Every time I see this picture of Baby Garath, it always make me smile....

Garath's school diary - The first 2 days at infantcare
After much discussion and for the benefit for both side of the families, we decided to place Garath in infantcare. Thank God there was one just next block to where we stayed so that the convenience of dropping and picking up Garath is there. The centre provide three days of free trial to see if Garath is able to adapt to the environment and schedule.
We started on Wed and today is the second day of the trial. So far so good and I guess the only factor is for him to adapt to this new school and the schedule. Since I am heading back to work on Apr 26, he will be officially starting his new school on Apr 5. Yah yah - you must be thinking that I am Kiasu or this mommy is so lazy that she didnt wana care for Garath. To be honest, the reason for placing him so early so that there will not be a cut to this flow that we started during the trial. I am giving the two grandmas next week to play with him still and then it will be school time for Garath.
School will be ideal for him (though most pple say he is just a baby, what can he learn?). The two days have made Garath picked up some good habits like - no rocking to sleep (the teachers tapped him on the bed and of course there was wailing but it is always easy for a third party to do it - mommy here dun have the heart to tap a crying baby to sleep), sit longer in the rocking playchair versus always carrying (with me around, his attention span on the chair is less than 10 mins as he always want mommy to carry) and he made new friends. The centre only accepts up to a max. of 5 infants and this capacity includes Garath and there are 3 teachers, making the teacher:infant ration much ideal that most centres which is 3 infants:1 teacher. The teacher is able to spend more one on one time with the infants. Most importantly, Garath is getting used to bottle feeding again - we had a huge challenge trying to bottle feed as he prefers to latch on mommy and rejects all bottle feeds).
Hopefully this work out for the three of us and I thought I post a picture of Garath on his second day in school playing with Noelle Jiejie ( the first infant at the centre). Noelle was rocking Garath in the baby chair. How sweet! =)

Venturing into Month 2 =)
Hello everyone! I am 2.5 months old now. Well, as you can see from the pics below, I am much bigger, tougher and stronger.
Mommy and Daddy called me a Little Terrorist. No points for guessing - my high pitch screaming and crying is my ultimate weapon! Mommy told me that neighbours knew that was me just by my crying (apparently mommy used to be embarassed by it, guess by now, she got used to it and maybe I may cut out to be a major in the armed forces!!)
Some pics of me - ENJOY! =)

Jie Jie Tiara & Tania's Time with me
Still remember the two jie jies that my mommy saw them growing up? Mommy used to bring them out for excursions to MacDonald's, playgrounds, malls etc when they are young.
Hee now it is their turn to bring me out =). Here are some pics of my time spent with them. Enjoy!
